Framed With Hope Using digital photography to connect the lives of the disadvantaged overseas with the lives of Americans who donate, volunteer and support the International Humanity Foundation (IHF). IHF's mission is to fight poverty by feeding and educationg children from the most marginalized and disadvantaged backgrounds in Africa, Thailand and Indonesia. The bracelet is made of beautiful red coral; turqoise and sterling silver. Nylie travelled in November 2007 to Indonesia with other volunteers from America and Sweden on behalf of IHF. They helped impoverished children by giving them the opportunity to take photographs with used digital cameras donated by Americans. The children wrote stories about their lives to accompany their photographs. An exhibit in the United States will be created using their photographs and stories. The Framed With Hope exhibit will educate and raise awareness of poverty overseas while also showing from a child's perspective that hope exists despite the obstacles of being poor and disadvantaged.
